Duration : 6 Months Rate : $45/HR CLIENT HIGHLY PREFERS CANDIDATES WHO CAN INTERVIEW IN-PERSON SO LOCAL CANDIDATES WILL BE THE FIRST TO BE CONSIDERED The Desktop Service Owner is responsible for providing IT users with desktop equipment and support, determining user needs and ?incorporating them into the design and overall plan for desktop operations and support.? The services supported by the Service Delivery group include; Desktop Hardware and Software, File Services, Print and Imaging Services, Email and Collaboration Services. As a Desktop Service Owner, you will work with organizations supported to establish performance metrics to ensure needs are ?being properly met. In addition, monitor and analyze performance metrics, sharing results with management and suppliers making recommendations for improvement where necessary.? The Desktop Service Owner will work closely with customers and suppliers to determine short- and long-term needs for desktop support, including incorporating these needs into the overall desktop computing support plan and documenting supporting process and procedures. The Desktop Service Owner provides global support and leadership for formulating, evaluating, and implementing desktop related technology solutions, policies, services and initiatives that improve the quality and effectiveness of user experience and efficiency of desktop operations. Job Description: Responsible for enterprise service management of delivery services which include Desktop Services including specifically Hardware Lifecycle Services Work with Desktop Architect and Engineering Teams, Project Management teams and Vendors to identify service design requirements and develop supporting processes Responsible for hardware asset management / tracking Provide monthly metrics on team's ability to meet business service goals and metrics Oversight of the business continuity planning and disaster recovery implementation and testing for desktop users Manage relationships with the technology vendors and providers Ensure all existing services delivery to the level of availability and agreed upon SLA's Assist with investigation and diagnosis of all incidents and problems, evaluating root cause and making process recommendations for service improvements Manage and oversee changes by assessing every change for impact on services, policies and controls Provide supplier management by assisting with the joint management of suppliers and their delivery of services and systems Ensure the most economical usage of the IT Financial resources and the invoicing of clients for the provision of IT Services in addition to carrying out of the regular budgetary planning activities Create highly effective and scalable processes, procedures, and workflows for the Desktop Services operations functions that support a timely, high quality user experience at a low cost Re-engineering of existing processes and establishment of performance metrics and measures.
