Project Description:

 

 


The Enterprise Architecture Unit within the Information Services section is
a key part of NYSP and Integrated Justice projects.  The unit provides
Architecture solutions and programming services.  The consultant will work
on major SOA initiatives and provide expertise in designing and implementing
technical solutions.  This will include writing architecture documents, high
and low level designs, provide recommendations and guidance, and contribute
to documenting Integrated Justice standards development.  Knowledge transfer
to existing Enterprise Architecture staff is required.    

 

This position will support the TraCS Data Movement (TDM) upgrade project and
NYSPIN project.

Description of Qualifying Experience


1.

Candidate must have eight (8) years experience in IT application development
with a minimum of three (3) years JAVA Development Kit (JDK 1.5 and above).

 

 


2.

Candidate must have minimum two (2) years experience with developing web
services using JAX-WS for WebSphere Application Server (WAS) 6.1 or higher.

 

 


3. 

Candidate must have a minimum of two (2) years experience developing
applications for IBM WAS  6.1 or higher.

 

 

 


4.

Candidate must have a minimum of two (2) years experience as a Solutions
Architect.

 

 

 

 


ASSOCIATED SKILL SETS

 

Candidates must also have (6) of the preferred skilled sets listed below.
Accordingly, candidates not meeting the supporting experiential
specifications below will not be considered for the position.

1.

Capable of extracting detailed requirements from people ranging from
non-technical to highly technical and turning the requirements into the best
of breed solution.

 

 


2.

Demonstrated writing skills for creating clear and well organized documents,
including standards and best practices documents.

 

 


3.

Strong interpersonal skills including communication, innovation, problem
solving and collaboration.

 

 


4.

Hands on experience with Rational Application Developer (RAD).

 

 


5.

Strong familiarity with WS-I standards, specifically SOAP 1.1 and
WS-Security.

 

 


6.

Developed and deployed at least one Web service application on the IBM
DataPower appliance model XI-50.

 

 


7.

JAVA Messaging Service (JMS) experience.

 

 


8.

Experience with XML, XSL, and XML Schemas.

 

 

 


9.

Experience with JAXB.
