The company's product lines of Multiservice Transport Switching, Multiservice Edge Aggregation, TDM Aggregation, and Network Management unify Ethernet and SONET/SDH switching functionality enabling many types of network operators to cross the gap between current generation and next-generation optical networks. The company's products also support an incremental migration to Ethernet/MPLS based networking and ensure optimized delivery of new packet-based services like Carrier Ethernet, IPTV, and 3G wireless. More than 120 customers worldwide have deployed the company's products. Responsibilities: This role will be responsible for designing, enhancing, and supporting routing/ signaling protocols (OSPF, MPLS, LMP) for carrier class optical transport equipment. Qualifications include: - Strong software developmet background with at least three years working with routing/ signaling protocols. - In-depth knowledge of the TCP/IP stack and the understanding of kernal interactions with routing and signaling protocols. - Familiarity with good software development processes. - Excellent oral and written communications skills. - Hands-on experience developing software for a real-time OS is a plus. - Ability to carry out projects through the complete product life cycle including design, development, documentation and unit/ integration testing.
