A NEW OPPORTUNITY TO EXCHANGE SKILLS AMONG TELECENTERS
Telecenter Operator Exchange Program Announces Launch
July 2006. The Telecenters of the Americas Partnership (TAP) is pleased
to announce the launch of the Operator Exchange Program. The program
will promote the sharing of innovative models and practices by
supporting relationships among telecenters throughout the Americas.
Telecenters bring information and communications technology to
communities across the globe. Over the years, telecenter operators have
accumulated a vast amount of specialized knowledge. However, there has
been a lack of means to exchange this information with other telecenters.
By using the Operator Exchange Program’s web-based platform, telecenter
operators can share their knowledge and skills easily and effectively.
The platform is located at http://www.pcnastream.com/exchange.
The platform uses a “marketplace” concept in order to encourage the
exchange of telecenter-related experience. Telecenter operators may use
the platform in order to request and offer skills to other telecenters
throughout the Americas.
Coordinators are available to support telecenter operators with the
exchange process. The program will fund travel and communication costs
for select projects.
The Operator Exchange Program is funded by Telecenter.org and
administered by TAP. TAP is a hemispheric partnership of telecenter
networks that includes CTCNet, Aspira Association and the Association
for Community Networking in the United States, [EMAIL PROTECTED] in
Latin America and the Caribbean, Fundación ChasquiNet in Ecuador, and
Pacific Community Networks Association in Canada.

UNA OPORTUNIDAD PARA EL INTERCAMBIO DE EXPERIENCIAS ENTRE TELECENTROS.
Lanzamiento del Programa de Intercambio entre Telecentros.
Juio 2006. El Consorcio de Telecentros de las Americas (TAP) anuncia el
lanzamiento del Programa de Intercambio entre Telecentros. El programa
promoverá el intercambio de modelos y practices innovadoras apoyando las
relaciones entre los telecentros de las Americas.
Los Telecentros brindan tecnologías de la información y la comunicación
a las comunidades a lo largo del planeta. Durante los años los
operadores de los telecentros han acumulado gran cantidad de
conocimiento especializado. Sin embargo, no ha existido un mecanismo
para que esta información pueda ser intercambiada entre los telecentros.
Utilizando la plataforma del Programa de Intercambio, los operadores de
telecentros podrán intercambiar facil y efectivamente su conocimiento.

La plataforma usa el concepto de “Mercado” para facilitar el intercambio
de experiencias entre telecentros. Los operadores de telecentros pueden
usar la plataforma para solicitar y ofrecer apoyo a otros telecentros a
lo largo de las Americas.
El programa asistirá financieramente los mejores proyectos (gastos de
comunicación y viajes). El programa cuenta con coordinadores que
brindaran su apoyo a los operadores de los telecentros durante el
proceso de intercambio.
El Programa de Intercambio es financiado por Telecenter.org y ejecutado
y administrado por TAP. TAP ES una alianza hemisférica de redes de
telecentros en la que se incluyen: CTCNet, Aspira Association y la
Association for Community Networking (Estados Unidos), [EMAIL PROTECTED]
(Latinoamérica y el Caribe) , Fundación ChasquiNet (Ecuador), y Pacific
Community Networks Association (Canada).
