Location : TX Duration : 2 months (high probability of extension) Rate : DOE* *Job Description:* • Database design and implementation services for large application development projects • Database administration for Oracle 10g and Oracle 9i • Database design and implementation services to support full audit trails for data changes • Develops and documents database standards, guidelines and processes as required • Performs data modeling to support web-based application development • Work with application developers and report writers to design/implement/modify databases • Troubleshoot problems regarding the database, applications, and development tools. • Assist applications developers and systems staff in analysis and problem resolutions pertaining to database • Determine, implement, and enhance standards on database security • Coordinate and support migration to new data management system software levels. • Other activities, as required *Required skills: *• 9 years overall DBA experience • 6 years in-depth knowledge of Oracle internal views, shell & SQL scripting • 6 years experience managing Oracle databases versions 10 & 9 on Solaris • 3 years solid experience in managing Oracle version 10 & 9 databases with RMAN • 3 years experience developing tools to administer large numbers of test & development database environments • 3 years carry 24x7 pager for supporting Production & Development database systems • 2 years thorough knowledge & solid working experience with designing, installing & maintaining CRS, RAC, Dataguard components of Oracle. • 2 years experience with RMAN, EMC TimeFinder or similar business continuity tools for backups, restores & high-availability. • 2 years experience designing, installing & maintaining multi-terabyte size databases • 2 years performance Tuning Multi-Terabyte size database & applications • 2 years thorough knowledge & working experience in setting up infrastructure for databases in huge datacenters at multiple sites. • 1 years working experience in moving huge live production, dev & testing database & applications hosted in different physical sites. • 1 years familiarity with iterative software methodologies like RUP, Agile & database change management techniques and working experience with supporting development & testing teams practicing such approaches in a highly concurrent development environment. *Preferred Skills: *• 4 years experience in management of large application development environments • 1 years experience with Texas Health & Human Services application systems • Excellent oral and written communication skills *Thanks, Mohi, Scholarum Inc. 8616 Spectrum Dr, McKinney, TX 75070 PH: 408 649 5432 FAX: 940 441 4524 Email: [email protected] URL: www.scholarum.com* --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Telecom_Domain" group.
