Role: MS SQL Server Expert
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Duration: 3+ months
Rate: open
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Must be local to MN
Project Activities
* Provide administration and support for MS SQL relational database
management systems (RDBMS). Works with business areas and IT developers to
troubleshoot and solve production issues and resolve daytime support issues
in a timely manner as described in IT and business area service level
agreements.
* Provide consultation to local lines of business and assist them with
information technology decisions and implementations.
* Creates and updates written documentation for application services
to document compliance with Federal Reserve project and information security
standards. Provides team leads with written status reports for projects and
tasks
* Implements and maintains distributed computing information
technology solutions.
* Provides training for IT technical staff and business users as
required.
Required Skills
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and
experience; coursework in MIS and/or advanced Microsoft or Oracle database
certification is preferable.
* 6+ years experience supporting and administering relational database
management systems (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle database, etc),
distributed computing server applications, and middleware (e.g., IBM
WebSphere, Adobe ColdFusion). To include: 2+ years technical project
management experience.
* 2+ years experience writing technical documentation
* 2+ years experience training and mentoring junior team members
Desired
Strong preference for candidates with experience in any of
the following areas:
* Significant experience designing SSIS packages.
* Experience with J2EE servers (e.g., IBM WebSphere, JBoss, etc).
