Location: Chicago, IL (Need face to face after telephonic)
Duration: 6 months+
Rate: $400-450/Day
Additional Information:
The qualified candidate must have experience with the following:
• Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• Minimum four years developing software utilizing Java, with at least two
years developing Swing-based GUI software.
• Experience developing stand-alone client applications in Java using Swing
and RMI
• A solid understanding of the basics of GUI design and the
Model-View-Controller (MVC) framework
• Experience with software development processes & lifecycles
• Experience working with a global team
• Solid Object-Oriented analysis and design techniques
In addition, the following skills are desirable:
• Prior experience developing software using Eclipse and Subversion
• Good communication skills are required to work with IT peers in all
streams
• Experience working in a traditional, non-agile development environment
• Financial/economic knowledge
• Exposure to project planning concepts and tools
Operations IT is looking for a strong Java Swing developer to join our team
and 'hit the ground running'. The successful candidate needs to be able to
work in a fast paced and pressurized environment. The team is small and as
such needs a personable and mature individual to contribute to the effective
running of this highly skilled team. The developer will be required to read
and understand specifications, author and distribute technical design
documents, independently develop client-side components within the financial
system and organize all efforts with peers within the team.
