The hostname verified by the certificate doesn't match the server name. Expected hostname: messenger.live.com Certificate hostname: *.gateway.messenger.live.com ------8<------8<------8<------8<------8<------8<------8<------ Cert details: *.gateway.messenger.live.com Identity: *.gateway.messenger.live.com Verified by: MSIT Machine Auth CA 2 Expires: 20-11-2014 ------8<------8<------8<------8<------8<------8<------8<------ (I can attach the full CRT if required) The only place the signer is mentioned is at https://corp.sts.microsoft.com/Onboard/CertRenewal.html but the problem seems to be the hostname mismatch and not the certificate itself.
