If you don't mind it being commercial software, Lyris Listmanager
(http://www.lyris.com) is pretty good. We use it here specifically for the
ease in which it integrates with perl.

You could also roll your own list server using something like
Net::SMTP::Server.

Hello,

Ok, this is not exactly TT thing, but i want to to this in TT and i
already am subscribed here and i am sure you people can give some
good advice and... and...

I'm in a mission to create our company's extranet which must include also
mailinglist. Not this 'usual' majordomo style list, but sql based list
which has web interface to administer users, make user groups etcetc. So
like, when i send mail to some address, let's say [EMAIL PROTECTED], our
server gets this mail, forwards it to perl script, this script parses
mail, adds it to sql table and sends to all users who are in group1. Or
something like that, i hope you get the idea.

Maybe there already made such mailinglist app? I searched tucows and
google but no luck :(

My idea was to create some input filter for sendmail which forwards all
mails incoming to group addresses to my special script which handles the
rest. Has anyone maybe some hints, no-no's or gotcha's which i should
consider before making project like this?

Rgds,
Viljo
