Network solutions are utter bastards. Don't ever register a domain name with them if you can possibly help it.
I've been trying to transfer several domains including template-toolkit.org, template-toolkit.com and andywardley.com away from netsol to a different registrar, but netsol have done there damnest to prevent me from doing that. The domains expired a week or so ago and I mistakenly thought that once that had happened, I could simply re-register them with my preferred registrar (gandi.net). No chance! Netsol keep the domains tied up in their database for anything up to several months after the expiration date. The only option for me was to re-register the domains with netsol so that I could again try to transfer them. Unfortunately this all happened during a week when I was away from the computer and I wasn't able to attend to it. However, Jeff Masud noticed the problem and very kindly re-registered template-toolkit.com for me, followed by Rob Casey who did the same for template-toolkit.org. So thanks to them, the domains should be re-appearing some time Real Soon Now. Until then, the tt2.org domain still works as it should and I've rebuilt the web site (or rather, ttree rebuilt it for me :-) using tt2.org as the base domain rather than template-toolkit.org, so most, if not all of the links should now work OK. I've also re-registered andywardley.com, so emails to me at that domain should start working again soon. In the mean time, my [EMAIL PROTECTED] email address still works fine. Thanks to Jeff and Rob for their generosity and apologies for any inconvenience caused by the outage. Normal service will be resumed shortly. A
