I broke the DEBUG feature in 2.08, or rather I broke it in 2.07a. Well actually, I didn't break it, I changed it. But that was as good as breakage for many cases. It's now fixed (or rather, it's broken properly) in CVS and 2.08a will be coming out today. You'll need to change your scripts to set DEBUG => 'undef' and then everything should work as before.
