I agree with Perrin.  You can't go wrong with PPM.

FYI, you probably copied everything Template-related from your
site\lib directory and forgot to check for files in site\lib\auto.

Don't do that.  Install via PPM or the standard approach described in
the perlmodinstall man page.  Anything else is asking for trouble.
