I'm seeing some curious test behaviors, but I don't know if they are new to 2.12/2.12a. They don't appear to be anything serious; I just though I'd mention them.
I usually skip the DBI tests, but decided not to now. I have a test database in mysql called 'test' with a user 'test' (no password) set up to access it. I give all this info as answers during the perl Makefile.PL part of installation. The 'make test' failure I'm getting is this:
FWIW, I have DBI and saw no failure when I installed 2.12.
One other strange thing is that all my GD tests get skipped because it says I don't have GD modules installed.
It skipped GD tests for me also. But then I don't have any of the modules :) (except GD itself and, for some reason that I don't understand, GD::Polyline)
My config: FreeBSD 4.7-RELEASE perl 5.8.0 Template Toolkit 2.12 DBI 1.40 DBD::mysql 2.9003
My config: Debian Woody (with newer kernel, X etc, etc) perl 5.6.1 TT 2.12 DBI 1.21 DBD::mysql 2.0416 MySQL 3.23.49
Yes, I know many things are old. That's the pain of using Debian - I set out to try to use it to make a stable server environment, but there's so much stuff I've had to change! At some point I'll reinstall from a distro that's relatively up to date.
Thanks again for the fabulous Template Toolkit!
Hear, hear.
And thanks to Dave,Darren and Andy for writing the shiny new book
Hear, hear.
on my shelf!
Well, no, it's on order but it apparently hasn't reached deepest Cambridge yet.
Cheers, Dave
