Hello again,
I discovered the problem - my fault. When I copied over the file, I overwrote some data that I use in the template. It returned more data, and somehow broke the templates. I don't know why it wouldn't simply display the data. But I have solved my original problem, and all is well. Sorry for any inconvenience caused. Thanks, Paul ________________________________ From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Paul Warner Sent: 11 January 2008 11:00 To: [email protected] Subject: [Templates] problem with templates displaying [% CODE %] Hi, I've looked through the FAQ's and the mail archive (although I couldn't find how to search the archive...), as well as googled this problem - and found nothing. I was disappointed not to find it. I have had templates working perfectly in a small web cgi application on Redhat, Apache, and MySQL. I'm starting out with Template Toolkit, and I was very impressed with it. And then I just copied one template file to another so I could make some changes. Suddenly the browser is showing all the template code [% BLAH %] as well as making the correct template substitutions! So I get the right thing, and then I see the [% INCLUDE blah blah blah %] printed to the browser directly after it. Why? Is there some cache that I need to delete? I restarted apache...nothing. To reiterate, my Template Toolkit cgi has worked flawlessly as I set these things up. No problems. Then copy the file, and bang, it's broken. In fact, another file in the same directory works fine. But I can't see any material difference in the code. What happened? Thanks, Paul
