Hi Marcelo. I'm the author of the Darkroom project. Terra can use any C
library, so you're free to use any of the millions of C image loading
libraries out there. My personal philosophy is that there are two choices:
(a) if you yourself are generating the images, choose a simple format like
pbm or raw and write the trivial code to load it yourself, or (b) if you
want to accept input from users, let the professionals deal with it, and
accept that you will need a dependency on a way over-engineered library. My
library is very much in the (a) category - you're welcome to use it if you
want, but it's likely your use cases won't overlap with mine, and it's not
at all robust by design.

Cheers, James
