Hi, obviously my problem was so difficult that nobody was able to help me ;-)
My idea of finding all characters in one line was difficult (because of some special characters such as hyphens or points being too short) and wrong. one just has to look whether the next character has a bounding box being left of the bounding box of the actual character.
