flood and openssl

So, does openssl-0.9.5a just not work with flood? There is a particular
preprocessor symbol, SSL_MODE_AUTO_RETRY, that does not appear in my
0.9.5a but works with 0.9.6.

Should we have autoconf check for >= openssl-0.9.6?
