Damn, this harness isn't too religious about cleaning
up after itself.. it keeps leaving servers running,
but not in any deterministic way I can figure out. Here
is the latest result; it isn't showing what we're trying
to fix, but it *does* demonstrate that a '!!!' error is
exiting the script with a 0 status:
