Thanks for the suggestion. It didn't work and the discussion on this thread has gone in a different direction. I can get a startup application for nautilus (that used to work) to execute when rawhide gnome is loaded since my home directory is shared with F14,and other RH and Fedora installations. But the desktop icons do not show up in rawhide. Does anyone have any other workarounds?
