Walter meant "ls -ld ..." (lowercase L, lowercase S, space, minus sign,lowercase L, lowercase D). This should show who is the owner of the /home/olpc/Activities/Scratch.activity directory. If is is the "wrong" owner, it explains your problems with saving Scratch projects.
