It's hard to tell from your description, but most likely you have some external device(s) plugged in to the XO-1.5 (such as an USB ethernet adapter, or an USB keyboard). If so, UNPLUG these devices before turning on the XO-1.5. [You can plug them in again once the XO-1.5 shows the Sugar screen (e.g., Home View).] At least with my own XO-1.5, that is how I avoid the machine continuously restarting. [ For me, the continuous restart occurred because I had an USB keyboard plugged in, and I happened to press a key on that keyboard right after turning on the XO-1.5 ] By the way, it helps to make sure you have the latest firmware in the XO-1.5.
