It sounds like 5 of the 6 XO-1's do not have their Developer Keys properly installed.

If so, you need to install the developer key custom to each of those 5 XO-1 laptops:
http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Activation_and_developer_keys#Getting_devkey_data_via_USB_stick
http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Activation_and_developer_keys#What_to_do_when_you_receive_your_activation_or_developer_keys
Step 6 above is the fundamental step that makes this happen:

The XO searches for /security/develop.sig on any media (not just the internal NAND). As of recent builds, there is no longer any visual indication that the XO found a developer key in the normal boot graphics. You can check whether the developer key was accepted by entering the OFW prompt by pressing Escape key (at the upper left, marked Image:Esc.png) immediately after powering on the laptop, such as at the time the speakers chime.
  • To permanently disable secure booting, press Escape and type "disable-security", then power cycle and repeat that command. (see Disable the security system ...)

Then the Esc key will then give you an OK prompt immediately after turning on the computer.  Proceed with the 10 steps at bottom here, under "Development builds" :

    Hi..

We tried to install OS for OLPCs using game keys.

( The exact procedure is mentioned in the following link http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Clean-install_procedure)

But, we could not follow that method, because it gives an error “Boot Failed”.

Then we used manual procedure, by pressing the power on button and keep pressing “Esc” button. Then it comes to OK command prompt.

Same way we have installed (OS115) all the XO-1.5 machines.

One of the XO-1 machines has installed with OS802B5.

But it is not working properly; I have already mailed the errors and the problems under the subject of

“USBs are not working with OS802B5.IMG”

Then when I tried to install OS11 and OS802B5 for a different XO1.0 machine with the developer key, I didn’t get the OK prompt using Esc. Can you please give me a solution??
