I see what you mean. "New version 3" really means "New, version 3" or "New (version 3)". Maybe this could be re-written as "Not installed, version 3" to make it clearer?

    What is the difference between the ok and cancel buttons? If you
    select something, and then click OK the updater disappears rather
    than installing it.


You would have to push the "Install selected" button to start the
install process.

Which one? There are 3 installed Mini, Edit, and Jam.
