John, Sue,
Here are three web pages with a new addition in the Claredi web site so
people can contribute files easier.
We have structured the "free stuff" area to make the SNIP test files easier
to find, and added a new area where people can contribute their own files.
Attached are three screen shots so you can see what I am talking about.
The first screen is the new structure of the "free stuff" area, with the new
link "Business Scenarios contributed by others"
The second screen is the library of business scenarios contributed.
Currently there are none. As you approve files for publication (see below)
they will automatically appear on the list. The list can be sorted by date,
contributor, file name, or frequency of download.
The third screen is the "contribution" screen. Anybody that wants to send a
file to the library can contribute it through this screen. In order to
prevent abuse, every time a file is contributed you, as co-chairs, get an
email with instructions on how to approve that file for publication. It is
very simple, all you have to do is click on the URL in the email and then
click on the "Approve" button. Either one of you can approve it. The files
appear in the library of contributions as soon as they are approved. Large
files (over 1MB) can also be submitted, but not through this mechanism. We
can talk about how to work large files. I am pretty sure you don't want to
be getting large files via email for approval :-)
If this process becomes too cumbersome, or if you want to do something
different, please let me know. Or, if you don't want to do this at all, let
me know too. All I am trying to do is make it easier for people to
contribute test files without Claredi's intervention at all.
As an update, I was expecting 8000 test cases, but I have not yet seen them,
as soon as I see them we will post them to the web site.
I will probably be in the air tomorrow during the call, so please let me know
via email how it goes.
Thanks.
Kepa

Claredi - Downloads

Downloads
The following resource are available to HIPAA testers free of charge.
Some these materials have been produced by Claredi, some by WEDI SNIP, some by other sources,
and are provided without any warranty.
WEDI SNIP Test Files |
|
Claredi is assisting WEDI SNIP to publish test cases to assist in HIPAA implementation. The WEDI SNIP Testing Sub-Workgroup is
developing HIPAA transaction test scenarios and collecting contributed test
transactions, and Claredi is publishing these files as sample transactions.
Note: These sample transactions are not representative of Claredi's
capabilities to produce test files. Claredi customers have full access to the Wibbler
SM, Claredi's
dynamic test file generator. Using the Wibbler, you can create thousands of test files
covering virtually all aspects of all HIPAA transactions.
|
|
Test files covering many of WEDI SNIP's sample business scenarios are
available for you to download. The group intends to eventually
publish more business scenarios, but the task of creating and documenting
these files is very time consuming. If you want to volunteer, please
contact the Sub-Workgroup chairs.
|
|
A few contributors have sent sample files. This is a library of files
contributed by volunteers. The volunteers are asked to describe the
content of each file. Remember, there are no guarantees here. If you want
to contribute your own files to this library, click here.
|
|
These test files from the WEDI SNIP Testing and Certification Sub-WorkGroup are
structured to test the 837 Professional. They test 12 types of variations (min, max,
invalid characters, etc.) on most of the data elements of the 837 X098. We know there are
holes, as some of the volunteer work was never completed.
These 4,739 files were automatically generated by Claredi using test cases definitions from the work group.
|
|
This was the very first set of test files produced by WEDI SNIP volunteers.
They are now obsolete, but are offered here for historical reasons.
Specifically, these files only effectively test one segment (NM1 in Loop
2010AA) for the X12N 837 Professional. These tests provide a limited but good
demonstration of the extent of testing necessary to
ensure compliance with the HIPAA implementation guides.

Software |
|
Version 1.01
Claredi is making available a program to "de-identify" X12 HIPAA transactions. This should facilitate the testing of the HIPAA transactions without compromising individuals' privacy. The software is free for all users. We are also releasing the source code for Unix, so you can compile it yourself. Please feel free to use this program with your HIPAA transactions, all we are asking is that you let us know of your results, good or bad, and your suggestions for improvement. And if you come up with "interesting" configuration files, we want to know about those too. The sample configuration file we are using comes mostly from the HIPAA Implementation Guides. It is your responsibility to make sure the configuration file meets your de-identification requirements.
|
|
Code Sets |
|
Claredi has compiled a list of many of the HIPAA Code Sets that you will need to use when making your systems compliant. This list contains information about the availability of HIPAA Code Sets and links to where you can get more information.
|
|
White Papers |
|
Claredi has collected a few industry white papers that are specially relevant to the implementation of the Transactions and
Code Sets under HIPAA. Some are from WEDI SNIP, some are from other sources. We keep adding to the list periodically. Come take a look.
