David, u make important points 
but the strong hostility that comes across (perhaps unintended; 
email has a way of doing that) is really uncalled for. Yannis and John 
don't communicate well with the users of Omega either, and some of us 
are in fact already considering some of your proactive suggestions. 
We are more frustrated than you could ever be. Contrary to what u've 
said, some of us _do_ care and are actually working to improve things. 


I also happen to know that Thomas did reply to Alan's original mail 
and that he was much more polite about things. And Alan's original mail 
was very polite and professional. We are all friends here; let's keep 
that in mind as we disagree. Honey is always better than vinegar;-
