Hi- I'm trying to install teTex-3.0 in Irix 6.5.18f, using gcc, no Mipspro compiler available - I have used the CONFIG_SHELL=bash work around for configuring, which seems to work ok (no errors indicated in config.log). But I am not able to "make world" successfully. I get the following:
# tail world.log gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I.. -I./.. -W -Wall -Wunused -I../../libs/t1lib -I./../../libs/t1lib -I../../libs/t1lib/../type1 -I./../../libs/t1lib/../type1 -DPS_GS -I./gui -I../../libs/t1lib/lib/t1lib -I../kpathsea -g -O2 -c x_util.c -o x_util.o /bin/sh ../libtool --mode=link gcc -o xdvi-motif.bin browser.o dvi-draw.o dvi-init.o dvisel.o encodings.o events.o filehist.o font-open.o gf.o hypertex.o image-magick.o mime.o my-snprintf.o my-vsnprintf.o pagehist.o pk.o print-internal.o psdps.o psgs.o psheader.o psnews.o read-mapfile.o search-internal.o special.o string-utils.o tfmload.o util.o vf.o xdvi.o xserver-info.o x_util.o ./gui/libgui.a ../../libs/t1lib/libt1.a ../../libs/t1lib/../type1/libtype1.a -L/usr/lib -L/usr/lib -Xlinker --allow-multiple-definition -lXm -lXmu -lXt -lSM -lICE -lXext -lX11 -lXpm ../kpathsea/libkpathsea.la -lm mkdir .libs gcc -o xdvi-motif.bin browser.o dvi-draw.o dvi-init.o dvisel.o encodings.o events.o filehist.o font-open.o gf.o hypertex.o image-magick.o mime.o my-snprintf.o my-vsnprintf.o pagehist.o pk.o print-internal.o psdps.o psgs.o psheader.o psnews.o read-mapfile.o search-internal.o special.o string-utils.o tfmload.o util.o vf.o xdvi.o xserver-info.o x_util.o -Wl,--allow-multiple-definition ./gui/libgui.a ../../libs/t1lib/libt1.a ../../libs/t1lib/../type1/libtype1.a -L/usr/lib -lXm -lXmu -lXt -lSM -lICE -lXext -lX11 -lXpm ../kpathsea/.libs/libkpathsea.a -lm ld32: WARNING 1: Unknown option: -allow-multiple-definition (ignored). ld32: FATAL 12: Expecting n32 objects: /usr/lib/libXm.so is o32. collect2: ld returned 4 exit status *** Error code 1 (bu21) *** Error code 1 (bu21) *** Error code 1 (bu21) Any ideas of how to solve this would be appreciated - I'm an "end user", clueless. I have been using the sgi fw_tetex, but it's out-of-date, and my up-to-date ConTeXt has problems running with, in particular, the old pdftex, and I can't succeed in installing a new pdftex either. Thank you very much, Peter --
