Ladies and Gentlemen (mostly gentlemen, I expect),

I've been reading this thread with ever increasing amazedness. I'm reluctant
to become a party in these kinds of mail-wars, but I think I would like to
make my contribution this time.

First of all, let's stop. Easy enough, simply ignore all further mail on
this thread (I know I'm currently not working along these guidelines
myself). 'Jarausch', don't act like a bloody spoilt child, it's not very
becoming, and it's damn annoying. If you're so unsatisfied by the
performance delivered by system administrators, then I think it's time you
use your own experience (I've read you have worked at a university computer
center) and offer your free help to help support CTAN, instead of whining
and sulking that things aren't going your way. And if you cannot reconcile
yourself with that, then please enjoy your perfect world in Aachen where
people are immediately available to attend to every students' every need,
but do not annoy us with your pittyful protests.

I would like to extend my gratitude to all the system's administrator who
help to keep our computersystems alive.

Let's use this mailinglist for teTeX related problems, from now on. I hope
that we will in the future no longer have the need to get down into the kind
of low-level 'nay-saying' that we have seen the last couple of days. I know
that I sound arrogant, but I think we are to well educated for that.

Yours truly,
Wilfred (Student as well)
