I'm using teTex on a Linux box and I'm sharing the LaTex disrtibution and
the fonts directory between teTex and MikTex on a VFAT hd.

I configured teTex so that the generated fonts go in
/mnt/e/ltexmf/fonts/pk/canonbj and texconfig says that the fonts have to be
generated there.

The problem is that when I start xdvi, it find the fonts in this directory, but
generate the missing fonts in the /mnt/e/ltexmf/fonts/pk/modeless directory.

Is it correct?

Moreover the process of font generation calls gsftopk: it is necessary?

Thank you
