I have created couple of Solaris 9 SPARC packages: - teTeX 1.0.7 - lyx 1.2.1 - netpbm 10.8 working on latex2html. All software gets under /opt . The main idea was to build several TeX packages ready to be used under S9. I have no extra hardware to provide S8.
