Here is what I normally do --Down in your installed texmf/dvips/config
area is a file called config.ps--You can edit that---By default
it has a line " o |lpr" in like below. If you put a "%" like
below, then it will automatically be put into a "ps" file--For
example if you type "dvips paper.dvi", it will make a "paper.ps"
file for you--Also if you are running SOLARIS and are not using
the the "lpr" commands like on IRIX, you will get an error because
it wants to use "lp" instead--If you want it to directly to
a printer then you can edit the file to have "o |lp " and it
will go to your default printer if that is what you want--I
don't like that so I comment it out like below.
