PMX will never be smart enough to sniff out these sorts of crashes and fix
them transparently. That means you'll always have to intervene, whether or
not PMX supports liftslur. And that intervention will always have to be
tweaked if you do something that changes where the linebreaks come. So I
suggest as an alternative (that doesn't require any new programming)
breaking the slur into two parts:
