Hello list,

after my compilation escapades have been solved by Roland Stigge (thanks
again!), there is another problem I am having. Since I use PMX's new
abilities for linebreak slurs, I am using the Apl option, thus enabling
type K PS slurs. Hence, I cannot use dvipdfm for producing PDF output
anymore (incompatible with type K slurs) and have to rely on ps2pdf.

Taking the following PMX source named tst.pmx,

--------------------------------
1 -1 1 4 4 0 6 0.0 2 1 2 20 0.05
Test
0
./

Apl
c24 d a+ shs-3s-3 c /

b s-5 a b c /
--------------------------------

...and compiling the resulting tst.dvi on my Linux box with
       dvips -Ppdf tst; ps2pdf tst.ps

(Note: I have gs 5.50.)

I get a nice PS file, but in the PDF file the normal roman font (the
instrument name) is embedded as type 3 font. This looks awful when scaled
or viewed on screen. This is all worse when it comes to vocal music and
text.

What can I do?

Best regards,

J"urgen
