Indeed; it awaits approval by the list maintainer.

I know, I was just kidding. ;)
I'm Belgian, and although Belgium currently experiences some political
infighting, I still pride myself that we all speak several languagues. ;)

I have used pTeX once years ago, but personally found it quite archaeic, and
reading Japanese-only documents is not my forte. My biggest problem with it,
is that it /apparently/ only supports Japanese.

CJK is a very powerful tool that covers the Unicode range 0x000000 -
0x10FFFF (and that's a lot; over a million glyphs), as long as your fonts
have those glyphs. However, there aren't many complex example files that
show you what can be done with it.

If it's just a few kanji in your title, then skip the CJK part and look at
the example files on the XeTeX homepage; XeTeX is originally developed for
the Mac. You might extend it with packages such as "zhspacing".

If you need more than the odd kanji, give xCJK with XeTeX (or more
accurately, XeLaTeX) a shot.

Best regards
