I found that even with 20-pt staves, the curly brackets are too tall:

tttt .\ g04 g g / g04 g g / g04 g g / g04 g g / =========================== I also found that if instead of using type 4 inline TeX, you input curly and ask for curlybrackets with type 2 inline TeX right after the pmx setup data, the first system doesn't get a bracket. Too bad Mthimkhulu is no longer engaged with the mailing list.
