Dear TeX-musicians,
in general I wouldn't advertise blog posts on mailing lists like this ,
but today it is important for me to reach potential users or
collaborators that may not read the lilypond-user mailing list. So if
you're not interested in LilyPond at all please pardon this shameless
plug and simply discard it. Otherwise please have a look at
http://lilypondblog.org/2015/01/introducing-scholarly/.
I have just released a first version of ScholarLY, a toolkit for
scholarly edition with LilyPond and LaTeX, starting with tools that
allow to maintain all kinds of annotations (from general questions to
final critical remarks) within the music definitions. Annotations can be
directly exported as LaTeX code to be used with a LaTeX package to
produce (critical) reports. The LaTeX package is very much a stub yet
but I'll build upon experience in a few edition projects so I have a
quite good idea about it.
But the main reason for advertising here is that this is also meant as a
call for collaboration. I'd be glad about anyone getting in touch with
contributions, but also with ideas, issues and discussion.
Regards
Urs Liska
