No it isn't.  You're using postscript specials that can't be shown in a dvi
reader.  After dvips and ps2pdf, you'll get a good output.

Of course ths PostScript slurs won't show up. With the attached example 
dvips does not complain.

But if I open the .ps with gsview I obtain the attache message on the screen.
