Life has a funny way of working things out sometimes. Had I known about the off-scheduled dig, I would have jumped in the car and gone.
But instead I went to Lake Charles for the gran finale of my week-long birthday celebration. L'Auberge Casino gave me $ 850 from their slot machine. I managed to pull myself out of their luring trap, while I still had about $ 700 of it left, and managed to make it home with $ 600. On a related note, I have a welder working on a new mining gadget, that will come in handy someday, and on my way to pick it up right now. David
