Dear all,
am sitting in the Vienna Airport in Austria on the free wireless to recommend
this airport to you all. It just increased size by 2/3 and efficiency a
thousand-fold -- lots of screening lines, huge duty free, etc. Food at duty
free, not much after (watch that).
Travel tips:
1) bring your atm card. Works in major banks with good rates.
2) call your credit card company to remind them where you'll be so you don't
get a hold put on it.
3) for most of us, our credit cards will NOT work in some merchants --
European credit cards work with chips in them, we're behind the times.
Anywhere catering to tourists ok, local shops sometimes not.
4) Austria -- land of candy and cake. Buy it at the local grocery store, not
the tourist areas (same brands)
