d...@ochel.net with the date(s) you intend to participate on - AFD needs a
headcount of cavers before each event.
The Austin Fire Department, together with city staff, is organizing cave
rescue training exercises in south Austin in May, and the participation
of cavers is highly encouraged. This is a great opportunity for
interaction and skills transfer between rescue and caving experts, and
should be a good time for those choosing to join. The training is run on
three days of this week - however, it will be the same each day,
allowing different AFD shifts to participate. Cavers are welcome to join
either of them.
Time is 1:30 - 6:30 pm each of these days.
