The news stopped covering the storm, but there is still lots of heavy rain falling onto the karst of the Sierra Madres.
The area around the town of Rio Verde in San Luis Potosi, got the brunt of the storm today. Valley of the Ghost had heavy rain most of the day. That is where one of the Mexpeleo's was held. There are lots of pits around there ( Sierra de Alvarez ) South of the city of San Luis Potosi had heavy rain all day, but I don't know what caves are around there. Does the town of Tierra Nueva mean anything ? or Santa Maria del Rio ? Also, the karst area around Zaragoza, Nuevo Leon had heavy rain, along with nearby Arramberri. On a related note, I thought the Houston weather was kind of weird yesterday compared to a normal last day of June. The wind was stronger than normal and blowing in a direction that it didn't seem to normally blow. The humidity seemed to be even more miserable than normal. But the temperature seemed to be a few degrees cooler than normal. We had a heavy shower this morning as I predicted, and the rest of the day we had solid drizzle and an occasional downpour, but nothing to get excited over. I think my yard needed it. The center of the depression is still in S.L.P. One forecast shows it heading for Chihuahua. If that happens, then we will be getting more rain from this storm. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Visit our website: http://texascavers.com To unsubscribe, e-mail: texascavers-unsubscr...@texascavers.com For additional commands, e-mail: texascavers-h...@texascavers.com
