How about a battery that lasts 25 years? The betavoltaic
battery is an old design that has recently been reworked and is
currently in testing for the military. It is actually a very small
nuclear device and is very robust, but expensive. It is only good
for low power applications, however, so you won't be using it for
your caving light any time
