I'll admit, there is considerable pressure to donate to the United Way where I work. There is an assumed $2 donation monthly. Your name is on a lit. If you don't give, the admin assistant will nag you relentlessly. I don't mind giving, but the tactics used ..... lot left to be desired.
I donated an hour a month. In return, I get an extra day off.. That nets a half day per year donation....... is not bad to keep the monkey off your back.
