I am happy to report that the cave we are working on in the P.E.P. (Proyecto Espeleológico Purificación) area, Soplo de Los Toros, is now over 500 meters deep (est. 515, subject to a final calculation), and is now the deepest cave in the state of Nuevo Leon. We turned around at the top of a drop. We also connected in another cave to it, Zorrillo, at a depth of around 180 meters. Here's the URL for a You Tube video shot by me at our wilderness camp near the tiny village (two families) of Los Toros. Fine points to watch for are Mark's pigtail braids and the cow skull behind his left shoulder. The cow skull was decorated with LED Christmas lights.
