It should work now, when I fixed the state problem on the register page, I forgot to change something in the JavaScript validation and ended up with a syntax error. The strange characters are a result of PHP and MySQL database commands. The way around it is to change the character set to UTF-8. I did that once and ended up with a mess. A few squigglies vs having to redo the website was a no brainer for me. It still doesn't work right for me. Virginia is now accepted as my state, but when I hit Confirm Registration, the same registration screen pops back up. There are no errors listed, but the registration won't go through. I tried it several times in both IE and Firefox.
