I realized that when I saw a picture of the hole from a different angle and
immediately sent a retraction. It still looks weird, though.

I have seen similar, even heavier black lines appear around people in
digital photos, forming an outline. I have no idea what caused it, but the
photos were not manipulated or taken in any sort of odd way. Must be some
artifact of digital photography under certain circumstances.
