On the western most edge of the big island of Hawaii, is a district called Kailua. There is a coastal town there called Kona.
According to one news site today on the web, the University of Hawaii, is creating a "cave preserve" at one of their new branch campuses near there. The campus is at a community called "Palamanui." The cave preserve is alledgedly on 55 acres set aside for conservation.
