Government to "give away" 127 million dollars to study filling underground
voids with CO2.

Why does this study need to cost taxpayers 127 million dollars?

The final results are obvious. The CO2 is going to be absorbed
into the surrounding rock formation and eventually contaminate
the area.

I wish they would pay me 127 million dollars for that information.

This plan obviously would not work in karst areas, but let them pay
a geophysicist to write a report on that, so that it can end up in
the giant warehouse where the government stores all of these
reports.

It would be much more practical to just freeze the CO2 into square
frozen cubes and store them on a sand dune in Death Valley.
