Greece has some nice show caves but most (there is only one exception I know of) do allow photography in the caves. They claim, and many innocent guides and even owners sincerely (but incorrectly) believe, that flashes will harm the speleothems. This stems from a mix of confusion of algae growth due to tour lights with an opportunity for them to sell you their photos of their cave. Greece is not unique in this way, so when traveling internationally to show caves be prepared that you might not be able to use your camera past the entrance.
