Mark,
And an old antenna would work with a digital TV or converter for an old
analog TV...Provided the signal strength of the digital or HDTV transmitter
were strong enough and that the frequencies in question were not to far off
from the cut frequency of the old antenna... For instance an UHF antenna might
work great with the new formats as most of them have now migrated to those
bands...

I laugh when I see Radio Shack selling the same old TV antennas that were for
sale for years as a simple TV antenna now repackaged as a HDTV Antenna with a
200% mark up...( Oh covers the cost of the printing on the new box)

It is a different set of frequencies, but it is also digital rather
than analogue, which is the important change. Your old rabbit ears would be
useless.
