I went in the local giant discount store the other day and while checking out I noticed Mammoth Cave Twists for sale. Imagine that! I bought one for $2.09 including tax. I have no plans to remove the plastic wrapper. It is a novelty item to add to my MaCa collection of important stuff. If anyone desires a MaCa Twist, let me know. The tobacco spit colored plastic wrapper has several pictures of the entrance of Mammoth Cave. The package says chewing t'baqer manufactured by Scott To-bac-er Co., Bonegreen, KY, and it carries the warning: This Product May Cause Mouth Cancer. The only time I have ever used this awful stuff was when I mixed it with crushed up hot peppers and water, boiled the foul slurry and then strained and sprayed it on my garden vegetables in an early attempt at organic gardening. The spray did not work as well as the Farmer Almanac suggested.

By the way. Fritz that was a great story about your Grandfather. There have been some really moving and fine posts this week on TexasCavers.

Cavingly,

Preston in Outer Browder, KY

Paul, Gill,
While I never chewed or dipped, I had a Grandfather that did.
